Latex Balloons:
Natural rubber latex is collected from the Hevea Brasiliensis Pará rubber trees that are grown in certain areas of the tropics and is fully sustainable. Eco-friendly balloons are made from 100% natural latex which is responsibly sourced to provide businesses and customers, a biodegradable alternative to regular balloons. Helium inflated balloons should be weighted, to prevent them from being released, and that air-filled balloons are tied down, which guarantees they cannot be released into the atmosphere. Latex balloons are created with biodegradable latex rubber. The Hevea Brasiliensis rubber trees are not cut down to produce latex. Latex is obtained by tapping from mature trees, a process which does not harm the tree. Whilst latex balloons are 100% biodegradable, they must still be disposed of with household or commercial waste where they will decompose in landfill. Although latex balloons are considered bio-degradable, this will take anywhere from 6 months to 4 years to decompose.
